The Codula Orbisi is a narrow gorge in the heart of Supramonte. Over millions of years, the waters have carved a deep and multifaceted canyon. In addition to its incredibly primordial environment, the Codula Orbisi reserves still spectacular abseiling over deep, but non-flowing pools and short climbing sections.
The meeting point is the Rifugio, from which we set off by off-road vehicle to the Supramonte di Urzulei. The off-road approach takes about 40 minutes on asphalt and another 30 minutes on dirt roads.
Halfway along the Codula Orbisi we arrive at the famous Pischina Urthaddala. At the end of the gorge we will reach Sa Giuntura, where the stream crosses the Riu Flumineddu; both streams flow to the Gorropu Gorges. The return journey takes only 30 minutes on foot.
