For about thirty years the guides of Goloritzè Cooperative accompany hikers from all over the world along the trails of Supramonte by Baunei and, in particular, the discovery of one of the more difficult and evocative itineraries of the Italian and European hiking scene.
The most famous and spectacular trek in Italy and Europe is called Wild Blue, not Deep Bluealthough the colour of the sea it overlooks is that, and this is perhaps the cause of the misunderstanding.
The Wild Blue is a trekking unique because its route winds simultaneously between sea and mountain in one of the most pristine territories in the Mediterranean.
The trekin its formula original would only last four daysbut experience over time has led us to present two versions to the public that follow the original route designed by mountaineers Verin e Cicalò in the 1980s, but they last five or six days.
The most original version consists of five days of walking along invisible shepherds' paths and log ladders overhanging the sea, crags, spectacular rocksancient sheepfolds, centuries-old holm oak forests, Mediterranean maquis, white beaches and unspoilt coves.
A exciting path and tiring that is lost in space and time, and confronts us with the harshness of the life of the shepherds and charcoal burners who have always crossed it out of necessity.
A challenging and fascinating adventure long a route by 50 kilometres made of rough paths with uneven ground, rocky traverses, climbing e abseilingsurrounded by the colours of a breathtaking nature, the grey of the limestone, the green of the maquisthe deep blue of the sea, the white of beaches.
The Selvaggio Blu starts from Pedra Longa to conclude at Cala Sisine and is composed of five stages, each of which provides for 5 to 7 hours of walking. Nights are spent under the starry sky, in the bivouacs little places above the creeksin compliance with to theBaunei Municipality Ordinance banning bivouacs on the beach.
